UPDATE: As of June 2023 they opened a sister restaurant China Mama Express due to a fire at their original restaurant. There are plans to reopen in Summer 2023.
Read this very very carefully. Forget every Chinese food recommendation you heard about in Vegas. The best and I mean the best and only place you need to visit is located off the Vegas Strip. It’s called China Mama and they say mom always knows best.
Now you can’t make a reservation, but don’t let that deter you. Simply add you name to the list on the tablet in the reception area. You might have to wait 30 minutes to get you table, but boy is it worth it. Plus, the food comes out fast. So waiting in line is the hardest part.
Once you have your table, that is where the magic starts. The essentials are made in-house, that includes the dumplings and the noodles.
Other great dishes include Crispy Beef, Jumbo Shrimp or Fried Pork in Special Sauce (and boy is it special!), Pan Fried Pork Buns, and more than I could ever name.
Trust me this is the place to have Chinese in Vegas; don’t let the Uber ride and wait time distract you.
