Part of travelling is making sure you have the right arsenal of gadgets and essentials with you. Trust me, these items will improve your vacation. Learn from my mistakes, always have the below items with you!

Waterproof Dry Bag
This is my #1 travel hack that you need to bring on every adventure, especially as a solo traveler. By using a dry bag it allows you take your items with you in the water while at the beach. I take one with me with every trip. Mine is a backpack style that I wear loose in the water and use as a pillow. Perfect for quick nap! Pro tip! Get one in a bright color so it can be seen in the water.
VPN (Virtual Private Network)
A VPN lets you play the ultimate travel hack – bypassing geo-restrictions. You know, when your favorite show is locked in one country but not in another? VPN’s got your back, making sure you can binge-watch wherever you are. A VPN also hides your online identity, making it harder for websites and services to stalk your every move. The VPN i personally use is Surfshark. Pro tip! Before purchasing travel tickets, change the country with a weaker currency against the US dollar or a country close to your destination.
Wireless Charger
If your phone is anything like mine, after using my phone for underwater photography, I can’t charge using the port. It usually takes a couple of hours for it to dry, so until I can use my port, I use a wireless charging pad. It come in hand every time!
Inexpensive Tablet
Forget lugging your laptop around, unless you are a digital nomad like myself, and invest an inexpensive tablet that you can stream tv & movies and have books at your fingertip. Amazon tablet are perfect since they are pretty inexpensive and so easy to get one. Just remember that their app aren’t in the Apple or Play(Android) store, but their own app store. IF you want to stick with the same processor as your phone, Samsung and Apple are the way to go.
Noise-Cancelling Headphones
Noise-cancelling headphones can help you block out noisy environments on the plane and enjoy your music or movies in peace. I always look for headphones that have noise cancellation AND built-in Alexa feature. You would be surprised how handy headphones can be on vacation. Pro Tip! Play white noise music to take a in-flight nap.
Luggage Lock
Planning on staying in a hostel but not sure if they provide lockers, or if you luggage will fit? Well, this lock came in handy when I was in Spain. I was able to leave my locker outside my locker, but felt secure that no one could break into it.
