High-Rise Hotels in Palm Beach Area
If you crave the classic Caribbean resort experience with all the bells and whistles, “high-rise” hotels, as they are affectionally known on the island, in the Palm Beach area is where you want to be. This bustling area is dotted with mid-tier brands such as Holiday Inn & the newly opened Embassy Suites to luxury-focused high-rise hotels such as The Ritz Carlton and soon to open St. Regis. For one of my many trips to Aruba, I stayed at Divi Aruba Phoenix and enjoyed my time there since it was just outside the tourist bubble.
The high-rise hotels on Palm Beach offer traditional amenities like spas, multiple pools, restaurants, and sometimes even casinos. Imagine sipping cocktails by the pool while watching the sun dip below the horizon. High-rise hotels in Palm Beach are perfect for those seeking convenience, water sports, entertainment, and a lively atmosphere. These hotels are also in close proximity to a strip of restaurant options reminiscent of South Beach Miami.
Low-Rise Hotels And Timeshares Near Eagle Beach
Eagle Beach, known for its powdery white sand and crystal-clear waters, is a slice of paradise. Here, you’ll find Aruba’s “low-rise” hotels and timeshares nestled among lush gardens, creating a tranquil oasis. These accommodations provide a more intimate and relaxed atmosphere, perfect for couples and families looking to unwind. These hotels tend to have less crowds at the beach, if that’s your vibe. This is mainly due to the fact that the hotels aren’t as large. Plus, you are situated on one of Aruba’s top three most beautiful beaches and the iconic divi tree.
Downtown Oranjestad
For travelers who crave a taste of local culture and history, a stay in downtown Oranjestad is the way to go. You can explore charming colonial architecture, vibrant street markets (when cruise ships are docking), and local restaurants serving mouthwatering cuisine of all varieties. There are boutique hotels and guesthouses in this area that offer a unique and authentic island experience as well as the Tik Tok famous Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort that gains you exclusive access, via boat ferry only, to their private island full of pink flamingos. Plus, you’re within walking distance of Aruba’s shopping district of fine jewelers like Cartier and luxury brands like Gucci.
House Rentals Near Noord
For those who value privacy and flexibility, renting a house or villa in the Noord area, which is Dutch for “North”, is an excellent choice. These accommodations often come with fully-equipped kitchens, private pools, and spacious living areas. You can truly immerse yourself in the local lifestyle and enjoy the convenience of home while exploring Aruba’s numerous beaches and nightlife.
Pro tip! I have typically found that when looking for a rental prices on VRBO will be cheaper than Airbnb; even for the same home.
House Rentals On The East Side of Aruba
If you’re looking to escape the crowds and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Aruba, consider renting a house on the east side of the island near Baby Beach, Savaneta, or San Nicolas. Here, you’ll discover a more tranquil and rugged side of Aruba, with stunning landscapes, secluded beaches, and a slower pace of life. This is a great option if you prefer a vacation with locals rather than fellow tourists. It’s also an excellent choice for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful retreat.
Choosing The Perfect Aruba Accommodation
Now that you have an overview of the diverse accommodations in Aruba, how do you choose the perfect one for your dream vacation? Here are some tips:
- Consider Your Travel Style: Think about your preferences and priorities. Are you looking for relaxation, adventure, or a mix of both? Do you prefer a lively atmosphere or a quieter retreat?
